Airport Express bus. To get there, walk to the far end of the first (ground)floor to your left. There is a desk selling tickets just before the exit door. It costs a flat 150 baht and operates hourly from 7AM until midnight. Four routes are covered, each taking about 45 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic:
- AE1: Suvarnabhumi to Silom
- AE2: Suvarnabhumi to Khao San Road
- AE3: Suvarnabhumi to Sukhumvit
- AE4: Suvarnahhumi via Victory Monument to Hualamphong Train Station
To take a public bus or minibus, you must first take the free shuttle bus ride to the bus terminal that is a few kilometres away. Go to the first (American), ground (English) floor and walk to the far right of the terminal. Exit the last door, and continue about 100 metres to the right, where you will see the sign for the "ordinary bus". These free shuttle buses are white in colour, and will make a few other stops on the way to the terminal. The BMTA public bus lines are:
- 549: Suvarnabhumi to Bang Kapi
- 550: Suvarnabhumi to Happy Land
- 551: Suvarnabhumi to Victory Monument
- 552: Suvarnabhumi via On Nut to Khlong Toey
- 552A: Suvarnabhumi to Sam Rong
- 553: Suvarnabhumi to Samut Prakan
- 554: Suvarnabhumi to Don Muang Airport in Phahonyothin
- 555: Suvarnabhumi to Rangsit (using the expressway)
- 559: Suvarnabhumi to Rangsit (using the outer ring road)
These services take about one to two hours depending on traffic; frequency is usually every 20 minutes during daytime. At nighttime, it ranges from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the route.
