Shanghai Street Map - Shanghai downtown can be generally divided into nine parts to show its sightseeing and entertainment sites, including the Bund and the World Architecture, People'sSquare and Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Town, Xintiandi and Huaihai Road, Lujiazui and Pudong New Area, Historical and Cultural Sites near Duolun Road, Jing'an Temple and Nanjing Road, Xujiahui and its Entertainment Sites, and Old Town of Longhua.
Shanghai Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai, appreciated as one of the World's Seven Great Roads. It starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west at the junction of Jingan Temple and Yan’an West Street, with the Shanghai's center point People's Square in the middle. Today, it is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashion-seeking shopeers from all over the world.
Shanghai Old Town, known as the Yuyuan, and centered between Renmin Road and Zhongshan Road, is praised as the bright pearl of Shanghai with perfect combination of gardens, temples, old architecture, civil culture, business, souvenirs and food. The most attractive and famous tourist site should be the Yuyuan Garden.
Shanghai Xin Tian Di, located in the center of Shanghai City South of Huaihai Zhong Lu, has become an urban tourist attraction boasting the historical and cultural heritages, and is a fashionable pedestrian street composed of Shikumen and modern architecture style.
Pudong New Area, named after its location on the east side of the Huangpu River, has become a New Open Economic Development Zone and has emerged as China's financial and commercial hub. It is home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and a skyline that includes the symbolic Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building, the Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Tower.
Shanghai Duolun Road, witnessing the history of Shanghai, is located in Hongkou District, boasts some of the Shanghai's best examples of European villas and mansions as well as old Shanghai-style buildings.
Today, Xujiahui is mainly a commercial district of downtown Shanghai with many state-owned factories. Xujiahui shopping district is centered around the intersection of the streets Hongqiao Road, Huashan Road, Zhaojiabang Road and North Caoxi Road, home to supermarkets, major shopping malls and large-scale office towers.
Longhua Temple is the oldest, largest and most magnificent Buddhist architecture in Shanghai are, located in Longhua Old Town, Xuhui District of Shanghai, with Longhua Pagoda as its most attractive tourist site.
