Subways in Tokyo are very convenient and you could go to nearly everywhere by them, but at the same time you could easily spent thousands of Yen when buying single-journey tickets. The same is true for museums and exhibitions where most admissions start from 1,000 Yen or even more. Is there a cheaper solution?
Of course there are! Check out the following websites:

Welcome to Japan! In order to help you get out to our hostel we've included this picture guide. Unlike the west, in Japan most streets don't have any name, so direction must usually be given in relation to buildings, landmarks, etc. The route might seem a bit confusing at first but it's the fastest and easiest way to reach us.

Enjoy stretching your legs after the long flight, take a look at the shops along Nakamise-dori, and enjoy the beauty of Sensoji along the walk to the hostel. If you get lost, feel free to ask a nearby Japanese person for help – the people in Asakusa are known for their friendliness.

Directions from Asakusa Line Asakusa Station - takes about 11 minutes
Take exit A4 and turn right.
Turn left at the first corner and walk one block.
You will see a large red wooden gate (Kaminari-mon gate) on the other side of the street. Cross the street and go through the gate.
You will get to a market street with souvenir shops on both sides – this is called Nakamise-dori. Walk straight down the market street and through another wooden gate and you will reach Sensoji temple, the most famous location in Asakusa.
When you hit the Sensoji temple, turn left and find an amusement park with a tall tower (Hanayashiki amusement park). Go around the Temple clockwise.
Walk on the left side of the temple and find a small bridge.
Cross the bridge and head straight – you see the amusement park entrance on your right.
Pass the entrance and follow the road straight, keeping the amusement park on your right.
Take a hard right at the corner, keeping the park to your right.
Walk down the narrow street and you will see Sakura Hostel Asakusa on your left – it's the large pink building!

What if You Get Lost ?
Don't worry. Asakusa is also famous for kind and helpful people. Just ask for "Hanayashiki Amusement Park"(花やしき), on the back of which you will find Sakura Hostel.
