What is PASMO?

PASMO can be used as a regular or commuter ticket on railways and buses in the greater Tokyo area, including Keikyu and lines covered by Suica (such as JR-East). It is a very convenient card, as it can also be used for shopping!

PASMO's convenient features

Feature1 Simply touch to get on and off!

PASMO can be used simply by touching it to the train's ticket gate reader or the bus's IC reader, even through your pass case.

Feature2 Automatic fare adjustment

Fare adjustments, even for a commuter pass, can be made automatically just by touching PASMO to the ticket gate reader.

Feature3 Security against lost cards

PASMO comes with a sense of security, as a lost card can be reissued. Please apply at the nearest train station or bus office.

* Lost blank PASMO cards cannot be reissued. * A 500-yen reissue fee and a 500-yen deposit for the new card apply.

Feature4 JR lines, private railway lines and bus coverage

PASMO coverage extends beyond Keikyu to a vast network including Toei Subway and Tokyo Metro lines and 106 transportation facilities in the greater Tokyo area.

* Bus operators are in the process of being added to the PASMO network.

PASMO is also a convenient way to do everyday shopping. It can be used at stores and vending machines carrying the PASMO mark.
